Keep up the awesome work, Oliver. My husband had a clear PET scan back in December. He beat his cancer with chemo and radiation. He improves a little every day. It is a very slow process, and we are told it can take a year to be back to normal. He had radiation on his neck, 33 treatments of that and he still after 4 months has trouble eating some foods. I have to keep reminding him to look back at how far he has come, not at how he was last week.
Keep fighting Oliver! You can do this and they news from your appointment is awesome!! I've heard pancreatic cancer can be a really tough one. We will keep you in our thoughts and prays while you keep delivering us this great news!

Thanks for your latest update, which I read with interest after a day at work and a 6-mile run. I will have a lot to share next time we get together, since there's a lot new with me! So, you are having a better time with chemo than 85% of the people undergoing a similar treatment? That is mind-boggling. It seems as though it is tough enough as is for anyone. I'm glad to hear that the tumor is shrinking, and I am sending it Mind Rays of Destruction right now, straight from Ellis Hollow to your home. So, if you feel a slightly warm spot in your pancreatic region, that's why! Haha. Meanwhile, we are supposed to get the Biggest Snow Storm Ever (or something like that) this weekend, so stay warm and safe inside. Adam is all a-twitter about the Hartshorne indoor track meet at Barton that he's directing on Saturday; all I know is that I have to run my mile at 8:40 AM instead of 10:40, which is actually okay since I've been getting up so early lately. I guess there are weird parallels between the 5th/6th lap of the 8-lap mile race and your progress through a 12-week chemo regime, so I will think of you during the 5th/6th lap, because it's seriously hard, but at least it ends quickly and my hands will be warm. I hope I've blathered on for long enough that you've at least smiled once and you know I'm sending you love (and Mind Rays of Destruction). -Tonya

Oliver, it sounds like progress is positive. You are one tough guy. We are throwing "hearts" at you. Please keep those updates coming. I guess if you raced cars, you'd get a race car ride to NYC. Glad you had a good trip and back home to relax. Hopefully that medical "stuff" you got recently is helping.

Hi Oliver, we just got the news from your Dad a few hours before we saw your report. Go to it Oliver, you really are a trouper. And lucky you to be flying around in private jets. I can imagine your faces. We are thinking of you a lot over here in Switzerland and sending lots of healthy Swiss air your way as well as big hugs from your Swiss Family.

What a nice data point! It's good to see that, so far, the chemicals are giving the tumor a more difficult time than they are giving the rest of you. Fingers crossed. 9 down, 3 to go. Best Wishes from Baker Laboratory.

I so appreciate your messages, Oliver. I'm grateful for this site and being able to receive the details. I hope that you find comfort in each moment. A friend of mine specializes in meditation for pain, and I'd love to facilitate that connection if you're interested. It could really help with the treatments or side effects. Say the word. Love to all of you.
