Norma’s Story

Site created on April 18, 2020

Dear Friends,

The past 4 months have been an intense rollercoaster of medical treatments, surgeries, numerous hospital stays, and rehabilitation.  One thing that has remained steady is all of your ongoing love, support, and prayers. I cannot thank you enough for keeping me close to your heart through this health journey.

As many of you know, I was diagnosed in January 2019 with multiple-myeloma. Due to the complications I recently experienced, I will not be able to undergo any further treatments for the cancer in the near future. Under the advice of my Doctors and the support of my family, I have decided to transition into hospice care. This will allow me the opportunity to rest and enjoy time with my dear family at home.

My heart is full of appreciation for the community of friends, family, and music that I have been so blessed to be a part of.

When we on that final journey go

That Christ is for us preparing,

We’ll gather in song, our hearts aglow,

All joy of the heavens sharing,

And there we will join God’s endless praise,

With angels and Saints adoring.

-       O Day Full of Grace

Soli deo Gloria,

Norma Aamodt-Nelson

A note from Rachel: We are so thankful for your support and prayers.  They have sustained us through this difficult time.  We would love it if you’d leave any messages for my mom here, and we can read them to her each day.  Sadly, we cannot take phone calls, texts, or visitors at this time.
