Journal entry by Christian Mroz

Two months ago, July 17, 2021, we lost our first born son Noah.  After nearly two weeks in the hospital following the tragic events on July 4, Sheila and I were at Noah's side as he left us to continue his journey to heaven.

Two months since that day, but not a day goes by where we don't miss Noah, think about him and what his life could have been, or ache because we can no longer see him, hear him, or touch him.  Some wounds may never heal.

In these two months, we cannot even begin to describe just how much support we have received.  Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, classmates, teachers, teammates, acquaintances, and even strangers have given us more love and support than we could have ever asked for.  Prayers, cards, meals, friendships, and more.  We never would have known just how one person's life such as Noah's could have impacted so many people, and yet the stories we have heard prove that it can happen.   We believe that Noah's life is a testament to how the good you do can spread farther than you may ever realize.

Those of you that read Noah's obituary, attended the funeral, or have seen other notifications may know that we had talked about donating to two very special causes that we felt contributed profoundly in helping turn Noah into the man he was becoming. These included the Waukesha Catholic Tuition Assistance Fund and a scholarship fund to be setup in Noah's name at Waukesha South High School.

Since that time we have been able to setup the Noah Mroz Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Waukesha Education Foundation.  We are hopeful that we will be able to support two scholarships (one male, one female), in perpetuity, with the first awards being given in 2022.  Specific information about the scholarship can be found on Waukesha South's Go Blackshirts site:  https://goblackshirts.com/2021/09/03/noah-mroz-memorial-scholarship-established/

Those still wishing to donate to this scholarship fund may do so via an online donation at www.waukeshafoundation.org/mroz or by sending a check payable to the WEF Noah Mroz Memorial Scholarship, c/o Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc., 222 Maple Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186. The Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc is a 501(c)(3) and therefore most donations to this fund will be eligible for company match programs and may be deductible. Please check with your employer or tax advisor. If you have questions about your donation, you may reach out to wefinfo@waukeshaeducationfoundation.org or call 262 970-1143.

In these two months we have received many generous gifts that have been used to support both causes.  Thank you so much to all that have donated so we can help keep Noah's name and memory alive.

Noah, we love you and miss you, and will never stop doing so.  Until we meet in Heaven.
