Journal entry by Nichole Scolet

Well, tomorrow is surgery day. I have opted for a lumpectomy instead of mastectomy. We will need to be at the hospital at 6:30am for surgery 8:30am. I had a Savi Scout done this last Friday. This is where they put a small marker in the tumor so when they go in for surgery they will know the area to take the tumor from. I won’t lie, I am nervous about surgery. It is considered a major surgery and my doctor says it usually takes a couple weeks to recover from. I pray that it all goes well and I heal fast. This is just the next step in my journey. I am thankful for all the support I have throughout all this.

The boys started Homeschool yesterday, so it’s already been a full week. This is always a fun journey in itself, lol. We also celebrated Logan’s 14th birthday and went to a petting farm. We figured we should get out and have a little fun while we could. The animals were cute and the boys had fun.

Well I just wanted to give an update on what was going on. I hope you all have a wonderful blessed day! Love you all!
