DIAGNOSIS

My name is Jordan Stonehouse, I'm Nicole’s pastor. Ken (Nicole’s dad) asked that I share an update about her diagnosis. Nicole has been diagnosed with Leukemia. More information will come about sub-categories and other details about the type of Leukemia. For now, the family wanted to update you about the diagnosis and that Nicole will need to stay at the hospital for 1 month then undergo treatment for 2 years after that. 

HOPE

This is heavy news for all of us. Yet when I talked with Ken, he shared a few things that can give us hope.

• Today, Nicole has been awake and has been able to move more. Ken was able to hold his sweet daughter's hand (there is still  life in Nicole’s hands!). 
• Ken shared that he knows that “Nicole is a fighter” (which is something that we all know as well). 
• Nicole’s faith in God is strong; as strong as any I’ve ever seen as a pastor.  As she enters the fight against this cancer...her spirit is strong, and she knows that she’s surrounded by the comforting Spirit of God and by the many friends and family that love her dearly. Nicole knows that she is not alone.  

PRAYER GATHERING

Tonight at 7:30pm, there will be a group of us gathering outside of the hospital near the corner of Cherry and Lafayette in downtown Grand Rapids to share a moment of prayer, offer waves up to Nicole’s room, and some might even have poster boards made for her. Anyone is invited to join us tonight for that time. If you come, just look for the crowd gathered near the street corner listed above.
