Journal entry by Ellen Harrison —
Hi friends and family,
Nico is doing a great job fighting and remaining stable. He has received about 7 HBO treatments and will have another one tonight. It typically take about 3-7 days for swelling in the brain to go down, so the doctors do not have the ability to let us know right now what the extent of the brain damage is.
The good news is that Nico’s vitals, brain pressure, and oxygen levels have remained stable. As his sweet nurse, Mindy, said today, “a quiet day in the ICU is a good day.” They continue to listen to Nico’s body and give him what he needs every day and we are so grateful to Jimmy, Mindy, Steve, and all of the other doctors and nurses who have been constantly by his side.
Please keep praying for Nico’s Family and for healing for Nico. If you have a card or anything to give please let us know, otherwise all of the well wishes, tributes, and comments written on CaringBridge are read to Nico!
Appreciate you all,
Ellie
