Journal entry by Christie Stevenson —
Good morning Everyone! This is Nick writing again...from WORK!! Yes, I have been back now for almost 2 weeks and it feels good to be back. I have been busy for most of the days, but my energy has been good and I've been able to handle it so far. Thank you for all your prayers and support to help get me to this point!
Health continues to be progressing in the right direction. I got my first COVID vaccine a few weeks ago which went fine and will be getting my second shot tomorrow...hopefully it won't be too bad either. Then, in a few weeks, I will be getting my childhood vaccinations again as the Bone Marrow Transplant wiped them out. In addition, I will be doing a pulmonary test to evaluate my respiratory system post-transplant. Prayers for good results will be greatly appreciated!
Prayers also for a decrease in some swelling in my lower legs and a relief from some very dry skin on my face would be appreciated. The swelling may be a side-effect from some medication I'm taking and the dry skin is from sensitive skin after the transplant. I've gotten some compression socks and have been applying moisturizing creams which should help as well.
Otherwise, life has been good. Christie and I have been able to take a couple weekend trips to Door County and lower Michigan which we have greatly appreciated. Hopeful for some camping trips this summer as well as a Carolinas trip for our 1-year in the fall.
Thank you all again for your love, prayers, and support! Christie and I have been extremely blessed by them. All glory to God!
