Newest Update

Journal entry by Sherry Holcomb

Wow, I haven't updated since March!
Nic has been having Pet Scans, etc as it is one year since his stem cell transplant. His scan showed that his tumors are calcifying and no active cancer - HURRAH.
He still must continue with his apheresis, prednisone, Ibutinib as he is still fighting the Graph verses Host Disease. His mouth continues to cause him pain, and his eyes are slowly improving. He wears special contacts in both his eyes which helps him to keep the lids open and see some. The light is still an issue.
He is a bushy guy now, with beard and longish hair. He has been on his own these past six weeks as I broke my arm and have been living with Gary. He has done great without me. He sees Cayden quite a bit and has been his official teacher. He sees Logan much less.
Hugs to all.
