Nicci’s Story

Site created on November 28, 2018

Nicci's story begins last Monday, November 19, her 43rd birthday.  She and Tim had a big week planned with her birthday, Thanksgiving and a remodeling project at Tonic.  She had some pain Monday, but worked through it until last Friday.  She became jaundiced, the pain unmanageable.  Tim took her to St. Mary's ER.  By Saturday evening, she is in liver failure in the ICU on life support.

First, on behalf of Nicci's family, THANK YOU to everyone for your words of kindness, prayers and donations. It has been an incredibly hard time, but the outpouring of support is a reminder of how many people's lives Nicci touched and it makes us feel much less alone in our grief.

In the interest of accommodating family from out-of-town--several of whom have been here since she was ill--and to ensure that all of her friends from Feast, the UU Church and her employees at Tonic can attend, the Celebration of Life will be this Saturday, December 8th. The folks at the Castle Community (121 North Broadway Ave, Rochester), have generously offered to host the service from 6-8PM.

If you have questions, please comment here and we'll try to respond as soon as possible. If you have photos of Nicci that you'd like to have shared at the service, please send them to my wife, Anna, at ANeelyRichey@gmail.com.

Again, thank you for being with us through this tragic ordeal and I hope you can join us to celebrate Nicci's life.

Warmly,
Tony
