Nancy’s Story

Site created on February 26, 2019

Most of you know I had spinal fusion surgery in early February at the International Hospital in Cozumel, Mexico.  Since that time, I have had a few setbacks and have returned for additional care at the hospital.  I am very appreciative of all the emotional support, hospital visits, meals, and the care of my beloved dogs.  I am going to use this site to communicate with you the latest news of my recovery.  Thanks so much for all my friends have done!

Journal entry by Lynn Hedrick

After shopping for the July 25th Food Bank, my friend Sami, and myself, visited Nancy.  She was very glad to see us!  Nancy looks great!  Her color was good and her weight was much better.  She still is having a problem with her right lower leg and ankle but she is walking with her walker and using a wheelchair to get around her house.  Sergio's family is helping Nancy with grocery shopping and household management.  It was so good to see Nancy's cheerful smile and positive outlook for her future.  She is answering her Magic Jack number and her local cell number.
