Nate & Jen’s Story

Site created on November 24, 2018

The Davis family (Nate, Jen, Isaiah, Sammy and Lilly) who just bought their first single family house a few weeks ago, suffered a devastating loss when they woke up in the middle of the night to a raging fire the day after Thanksgiving.

Thankfully, they all got out safely, but have lost everything.  Although their faith remains strong, they need help.  Please help us in rebuilding their lives!

Psalm 108:4 - For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

The original post from Jen Davis, the morning after:
3:35 a.m. our house went up in flames. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Even in the worst situations. God IS good. In ALL things.....even though right now I can’t understand it. Thank you to all the fire departments from everywhere imaginable who came.  We are safe. Praise the Lord for alarms.  And all the trial runs we had as we were prepared and God made a way out. God is faithful. He won’t fail us now. We are together.
Nothing is better than that.

The need is great, the loss is greater.  This site will help to identify the needs for the family; immediate, in the weeks to come, and future.  There has been an overwhelming response to help, but they cannot receive everything all at once.

This site will update you on how to give through gift cards (Amazon, Wawa, grocery stores, Walmart, etc.) material items and prayer requests.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help  raise funds for the Davis family.

Link to donate to the GFM site:

If you choose to donate through Caring Bridge, it will not go directly to the family, but the GoFundMe site will.

Or, you can send a gift card or donation  to the attention of Nate & Jen Davis.  They can be sent to Nate Davis c/o Crossroad IT, 590 Bethlehem Pike, Suite C, Colmar, PA 18915.  Clothing and other requested items can be left at their neighbors home (Clarke) (1612 Broad Street)  At the end of the driveway, you'll see a Four Seasons Room at the back, donations can be left there.

More updates to come … please continue to pray for the Davis family for the next steps for their recovery, discernment and wisdom.

From the Davis Family:

Christmas was amazing! Jen’s mom and sister were able to join them and spend Christmas with the family.  It was delightful to have both parents and her sister in their new home for Christmas and to spend Christmas Eve with Nate’s family.  Lots of Joy from the ashes!

The temporary house is perfect and we were abundantly blessed by many for Christmas.  Our Christmas tree that was dropped off is beautiful and it was adorned even more with ornaments that came from friends.  We made it simple by ordering Chinese food and enjoyed the day together.

We are now officially unpacked and are ready to start rebuilding our lives.  We probably won’t find out anything about the house in Perkasie until January.  For now, it still stands there (or until the roof caves in from the damage and drooping rafters).

The insurance company is working with us well in helping us with our temporary housing.  They provided bedroom furniture for Sammy & Lilly.  Other than that, the house came fully furnished.  Plenty of room to spread out.  And, we are in Doylestown, close to our church and both of our jobs.

Many blessings; some tiny, many large and others unexpected.

Thank you to everyone that has prayed for them, joined in helping with donations and continue to support them in so many ways.

We’ll keep you updated if any new prayer requests or needs come up.  For now, they are settling in to their new place and sharing their story of Hope, Faithfulness and God’s provision as He restores from the ashes ... rejoicing a new beginning.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Psalm 103: Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
