Newest Update

Journal entry by Kaitlin Stone

It's been a while since I've updated but not too much has changed for us. Natalie and I have spent a few nights at Ronald McDonald house and most recently a brief hospital stay over the weekend but she is doing great. Her blood counts continue to go up and down as she gets chemo but the stays at the hospital are becoming less frequent.
She has made friends with some kids at clinic that we see each week and even has a few favorite nurses that she looks forward to seeing. Everyone at Upstate has been amazing to her and our family.

Yesterday was Natalie's first follow up CT scan since her surgery. We got the amazing news today that there was no cancer found!!! Such a huge answered prayer. We are so thankful and so relieved that her treatments are working. Now all we are waiting to hear about are the results of the ultrasound on her heart today. She has been such a trooper through it all and it is paying off. This has been probably the happiest day we've had since we started this journey.

I want to say thank you to our incredible friends and family that helped organize the benefit for Natalie. Bev, Megan, Cara, Patty, Becky, Rose and anyone else if I missed you, I'm sorry. I cannot thank all of you enough for everything. The baskets that were donated, the golf course being used,  the food that was made. It was amazing. It was such a huge success and I think about it with happy tears. To everyone who came to show their love and support for our family, we thank you. It was a great night and a perfect end to a very long week in Syracuse.
This Friday, June 29th is the spaghetti dinner at Broad Street United Methodist Church. We would love to see everyone there.

Please continue to pray for her. Her chemo will continue into the school year and she will continue to have scans every few months to make sure the cancer stays away.
