During our mom's two months of hospice we witnessed the tree outside her window transition from Winter to Spring. Today we finish moving things out of her apartment and then tomorrow moving on to Virginia for Kathy with her family, Mexico with my family and Dale with his family in Chicago.  We move on but we do not forget. The last seven days have been blessed, intense, painful, rich and joyous all together. In an hour her apartment will be empty and Kathy, Dale, and I will spend some time remembering and allowing the grace of emotions to come as we just talk and sit in God's and each others presence.  The reality of my mom being really gone will probably hit us in a deeper way. Thank you all for walking with my mom and with us during this transition from this last season of life here to her next season of LIFE with Jesus.

Durante los dos meses de cuidados paliativos de nuestra madre, fuimos testigos de la transición del árbol fuera de su ventana pasar de invierno a primavera. Hoy terminamos de sacar todas sus cosas de su apartamento y luego cada uno seguirá su camino; Kathy a Virgina con su familia, yo a México con mi familia y Dale con su familia en Chicago. Cada uno sigue su camino pero no nos olvidamos ni de mi madre ni de esta experiencia juntos.  Los últimos siete días han sido bendecidos, intensos, dolorosos, ricos y gozosos. En una hora su apartamento estará vacío y Kathy, Dale y yo pasaremos un tiempo para recordar y dejar lugar a la gracia de Dios para hablar y sentir mientras hablamos y nos sentamos en la presencia de Dios y el uno del otros. La realidad de que mi madre se ha ido creo que nos golpeará de una manera más profunda. Gracias a todos por caminar con mi madre y con nosotros durante esta transición de esta última temporada de su vida aquí a su próxima temporada de VIDA con Jesús.
