Frank and Matthew ~
Nana was my freshman college roommate. It was a large room in the dorm basement and there were 4 of us in the same room, but we all got along great. Nana and I were in many ways opposites but I loved being her roommate. She was feisty and funny and introduced me to Joni Mitchell! One thing Facebook does well is reconnect people, and I was so grateful she and I found each other about 8 years ago. I know she felt the same.

Nana was one of the most beautiful people I've ever known - inside and out. I prayed constantly for years for her earthly healing but I realize that God's plan was different from mine. As a selfish human, I wanted to keep her here so that I could hear her laugh, see her smile, listen to her wise counsel, feel her warm hugs, etc.
As a believer in Christ, I know that Nana is now with God and has no pain or sorrow whatsoever! As a fellow believer, I know I WILL see Nana again and her smile will be even more beautiful and her light will shine brighter than ever. Until then, I will continue to cherish the memories I have with Nana and try to remember the valuable lessons she taught me about life and love. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Nana was such a wonderful, sweet, and caring soul who lived her life to the fullest. She will be so missed by her family, friends, and the many other people whose lives she touched. She was truly a special lady and I am blessed to have known her so long.

I’m so sorry for your loss. We will all miss Nana. The world was a better place because she was in it. I’m heart broken that she’s gone.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was blessed to have had Professor Daronatsy as one of my teachers -- and as one of my inspirations as a future social worker. I know she made such an impact on all of the students she taught. I will be keeping her soul and your family in my prayers.

Matthew and Frank, I had the pleasure of supervising your Mom at one of her first jobs after you moved here years ago. That was at the East Alabama Mental Health Center. I can honestly say that she provided as much supervision, if not more, to me than I ever did to her. What a gift to us all she was and will always be. Peace and healing to you both.
