Upcoming appointments… ok guys I need help! The transportation provided by Medicaid is very unreliable and I just cannot miss these appointments. They are very important with surgery coming up, so I need help.
I know it’s a good little drive to Hammond and gas isn’t cheap but Hammond is the only place I have be able to find decent doctors, not wait a year to get in and they care.
I’ve been on this ride for the past 10 years. At least 10 years. I have had doctors leave me in tears, swearing I would never go to any doctor again.
I am beyond ready to have my neck repaired but my brain is still broke. I have to find out why I am having these symptoms, especially since 2 neurologist have now ruled out MS. It could literally be hundreds or thousands of issues but the point is the symptoms are really bad and they’re progressing and I’ve got to find out what’s going on. Things are crazy. I will be fine for a week or two and then all of a sudden I have some kind of flareup and my brain is on the fritz again.
Anyway I’m not getting in all that right now the point is I have several appointments coming up in human and I need help getting there. Appointments are:

Monday April 11 @ 9:15 am (neurologist)
Thursday April 14 @ 1:40 pm (neurosurgeon final appointment before surgery to go over procedure, recovery, etc. I tried to change this appointment to Monday the 11th when I see the neurologist but my neurosurgeon doesn’t do clinic on Monday he is in surgery on Mondays)
Friday April 15 (time still open. I will have to do all my pre-op testing this day. It can’t be done the day before because some of the results are only good for 72 hours)
I have tried to make things easy and schedule things on the same days but that’s hasn’t been possible. (I know this is Good Friday but really can’t be helped.
Monday April 18 - Surgery Day!!
Not sure of the time. Probably have to be there early that morning but I might not have this information until my pre-op appointment. I’ll update any and all information as I get it!
My stay in the hospital will probably be 2 days but not positive. Depends on how things go, but of course I will need a way home when I am discharged.
**** please please share my Go Fund Me page. I am going to update it with this information as well. If I have the funds I might just try to rent a car for the week. Then I would just need a ride on the day of surgery and upon my release.
If you are able to help with any of these appointments please let me know as soon as possible. I need to know this is all scheduled and I don’t miss any of these appointments. Please keep me in your prayers. I’ve been cleared by the neurologist for surgery but have had some neuro issues come up and I still have to get cleared by my hematologist before he can cut me. My platelet count has to be perfect. Too high or too low and I could either have blood clots or bleed out.
