Sherri’s Story

Site created on May 16, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
Back in July 2021 I was taken to the hospital due to passing out at work. My blood pressure was very low, I was dehydrated and had been suffering from diarrhea for several days. I was diagnosed with colitis sent home with antibiotics and given an appointment for a colonoscopy in December.
Colonoscopy was fine, but I continued to lose weight and have terrible pain.
Finally the pain was so intense that i couldn’t bear it.
This is where I started this page…

Journal entry by Sherri Woody

After a very long 2 weeks away from home, I will head home in the morning.  It has been especially hard to watch my cousins lose their mom and grandma. But Grace is abundant.
Clewiston was 99 in the shade with 100% humidity and made me glad that I live in GA!
So many memories, and such a sad purpose has left me exhausted and broken hearted.
But, as with most things, there were those moments that brought a smile or a bit of laughter.  A fond memory, the breathtaking prairie, and the sight of Lake Okeechobee never fails to stir my soul.
Prayers for the weeks ahead as I face, yet another surgery and recovery.  I am grateful each and every day for your continued love and support.
