My daughter and I were fortunate to have felt the love energy at both services. I'm sure he would have been so proud of you all, while feeling honored at the same time. Each one of your eulogies made us laugh and cry, and the chosen prayers provided just the right balance to let God take control of this tremendous grief we are feeling. I am so sorry that Murray is gone. Working with him during my time at Agnes Irwin always provided fun, smiles and positivity. He was a master teacher and a supportive colleague and friend. We are blessed to have known him. Despite the sadness of this moment, I will always smile when I think of him - his legacy is one of high standards, love and inspiration, and a giggle or two along the way.

Bob and I were so saddened to hear of Murray’s passing. He was such a special part of services at Temple Emanuel💕. May his memory be a blessing.

Mr. Savar, words can not begin to describe what it was like to have had the pleasure of being taught by you. For my 13 years at Agnes Irwin, I always knew that I had your support and guidance in everything and anything I did. From my first music class in kindergarten to joining upper school choir just so I had a chance to spend time with you and see you each week. Thank you for teaching me to appreciate music in a way I never thought I could and will now never forget. Your stories and songs are things that forever live in my memory. Working in the lower school and seeing the joy and courage that those girls had because of you is something I'll never forget. Watching them sing the same songs that I had sung years before and still knowing every word because they are songs that a person never forgets. I thank you for everything you did for the community, your joyous energy and kind heart are qualities I try to live my life with because of you and your impact. Fly high Mr. Savar, Agnes Irwin will not be the same without you but you memory and legacy will forever be remembered. ❤️

I am so truly sorry for this loss. Murray was a close colleague and good friend. I taught music at The Haverford School and did many collaborations with him over the years. My heart is heavy but I know how much he touched so many people with his energy and love of music.

My family and I have been reflecting on how Murray's was truly a life well-lived. He made the most of his talents and spread love and joy with them for decades. I haven't talked to him in many years, nor was I ever much of a singer, but I still feel connected to him. Thank you to Murray, and to his family for taking care of him at the end.
