Updates on Dad: Rehab has not been a positive experience so far. We feel like he is digressing and they are moving slower than the Therapists in Phoenix. It is all very frustrating. We were able to talk to the nurses 3-4 times a day while he was in the hospital and get detailed updates. We try calling 10 times a day sometimes and no one ever picks up. It has been very hard for all of us to deal with especially because we are not all together in one place. On the plus side, Dad does look good and healthy. His skin looks amazing and he hasn’t needed much insulin. He is still on a puréed diet and only talks when we wants to…at least that’s what it seems like. We can’t tell if he forgets he can talk or if he is just being stubborn. At this point, as much as we want to protect our Dad physically and mentally, we are going to allow visitors. The rehab only allows two visitors at a time so please keep that in mind before heading over. He is at Reche Canyon Rehab in Colton. If you have questions you can call us, text us or send us a message on Facebook.
