It started with back pain about a year ago. It could’ve been unrelated to my current diagnosis, but who knows? Some back stretches, pain killers and rest made the pain go away, until this April (2021).

Started having back pains again, except much more severe than the last episode. Pain was An MRI showed a fractured vertebrae leading to more tests and examinations. My disease is diagnosed as Multiple Myeloma. It’s a cancer of blood cells, however rarer than Leukemia.

I've asked Hameed, my brother in law, to keep you updated about the progress of my journey in the fight against this ailment.

Journal entry by Hameed Faridani

Hello again dear friends and family;

As I was officially declared cancer free this week I wanted to share with you this moment.

I got to ring the bell of “final visit” at my treatment center. Thanks to them and their expertise, care I received at home,  and your support, I’m cancer free.

Wishing a similar outcome for all those battling an ailment.

Be well.

With much gratitude,

Mostafa.
