I've decided to start a caring bridge page to keep everyone updated! Where do I begin???
Most people know in February (the day before my daughter's 18th birthday😔) I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Invasive ductal cell carcinoma. It is stage 3..spread to my axilla lymphnodes, and graded 3 the most aggressive. Estrogen and progesterone positive. March 27th was surgery day. A double mastectomy with node removal and reconstruction at the same time. The reconstruction process is not for the faint of heart. Unfortunately I ended up with complications. Had to have surgery again and then wait for a wound to heal which delayed treatments.
Working in the medical field is a blessing and a curse! You know too much, and you've seen too much. However I'm thankful I could be my own advocate! Lord knows I've had to be through this process!
Today marked a new chapter of my cancer journey. The dreaded first infusion of chemo😔 From the initial diagnosis next to death this has been my biggest fear. I will prevail! Please keep me and my family in your prayers! PS thanks to all my many amazing people.... you are everything in so many ways! xoxoxo
"hope is the only thing stronger than fear"
