Monte’s Story

Site created on December 13, 2020

Monte has experienced some unexpected medical diagnosis.  He went into the hospital on 12/12/20 with abdominal pain and expected to be told he had kidney stones or something similar.  Test came back more serious than expected and he was sent to the hospital in another town where he had surgery and stayed for a week.  He is home now but will be out of work for a while.  Jenny is staying home to help care for him and take care of the kids.

Journal entry by Jenny Ferguson

Monte came home late last week. They finally figured out what bacteria was causing his infection and got him on the right antibiotic. It’s now Sunday and he is feeling much better. His BP and heart rate are coming back to his normal still. Biggest thing is his kidney is recovering, at discharge he is almost back to montes normal kidney levels. This is huge!!  He is very tired but each day is showing improvement. It’s so scary to have to go down that path again but we are so grateful for the Meijer heart center and all the staff.
