Monica’s Story

Site created on July 26, 2019

Educator, author, literary critic, scholar and great friend to many, Monica Edinger suffered a stroke on Monday, July 22, 2019. She had surgery on July 24th and has seen some progress in Mount Sinai hospital and is now currently at the New Jewish Home, Manhattan Campus at 120 West 106 Street, for therapy and recovery.  We need to raise an Army (Monica's Army!) to help Monica overcome tremendous odds to regain her intellect and physical health.  Please read the journal entries and see the task planner ( for ways you can help!

I have not posted in a long while - don’t need to as Monica does her own updates on Facebook. But those who know my sister well know how much she enjoys having her birthday remembered and that is right around the corner on October 1. I know Monica would welcome cards . Her address is 600 W 111 St., Apt. 2A,  NY,NY 10025.
