Newest Update

Journal entry by Heather Hicks

Well its way past time for an update here!  Little Molly May is growing and gaining and making progress.  She has gotten off the ventilator and now is on the CPAP for breathing support.  She has started with tube feedings and even increased how much she is getting fed through the tube.

She spent Christmas in her isolette, but has now graduated from her isolette to a NICU bed!  She started wearing clothes a week or so before Christmas and has had some of the cutest outfits on.  Molly especially likes her Olaf gown :) and her Christmas outfit from Nana and Gigi.  Molly has been getting held, but only can tolerate short amounts of time being held.

She is expected to be on the CPAP for about a week and then go to just oxygen in a tube.  Once she is off the CPAP, she will get to start learning to eat.   It's hard to believe she is 2 months old, it seems like she has been in NICU longer, but it also feels like yesterday she was born.  Lots of ups and downs, so thank you for all the support through this challenging time.
