Molly’s Story

Site created on December 29, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Molly. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
Molly is a single mom to Charlie a Sophomore at Texas A&M University. She attended UT Arlington and has a BS in Kinesiology and a Masters in Architecture and a career as an Interior Designer. Molly is a christian and despite her treatments has continued to lead a weekly bible study at her church. She believes God has had his hand in the success of her  treatments, and surgeries so far. She lives with her Mom, Dad, Grandmother and two dogs in Arlington, Texas
In 2016 she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer (not genetically predisposed); it was treated with radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery. Molly was able to return to her normal day-to-day living following this series of treatments. Six -months later cancer resurfaced in her lungs, liver, and pelvis. This was treated with surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy while effective to reduce some of the cancer. Her current Lung Cancer is not curable but it is being treated with the an experimental immunotherapy protocol at Baylor in Dallas. This treatment has kept tumors stable however, a recent MRI detected significant brain tumor requiring surgery. Today, New Years Eve 2019., Molly is undergoing brain surgery to remove a tumor in the front left lobe of her brain, this surgery will be followed by targeted radiation for two smaller spots on the lower back portion of her brain. Our prayers are with Molly hoping she welcomes in 2020 healthier and continues to succeed with her battle. We invite you to share your well wishes for Molly here...
