Journal entry by Sandy Kisch —
Happy Spring everyone 🌷🌷🌷 It's been a while since the last update but life is beginning to return to somewhat normal.
Mitch turned "1" on his new re-birthday on April 18th 🥳 and what a difference a year has made!! He returned to work at Carlson McCain the beginning of January and it was so good to see him returning to his old routines. He started going to the gym 💪 and working out again but then he came down with this crud that has been going around so the last month has been a little rough for him. On top of not feeling the best he had to have another bone marrow biopsy and lumbar puncture at the one year mark and then began the waiting on results. Waiting is always the worst. Today his Doctor called him and he got the GREAT news that the final results are in from his bone marrow biopsy and he is in a deep deep remission. God is so good 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Fun fact - it took about a year for the change to be complete but his one year blood test results show his blood type has changed. He now has switched to his donors blood type! His bone marrow is also 100% his donors with no sign of his original bone marrow. The medical science of bone marrow transplant is truly amazing and we are so grateful for the excellent care he has had and continues to receive at MHealthFairview University of Minnesota Medical Center.
Thank you all for your support and continued prayers for Mitch. We appreciate you all so much and wish you all many years of happiness and good health 🥰 🤗
