Mitch’s Story

Site created on July 7, 2020

Early morning on Monday, July 6, 2020, long time B92 Country morning show host and UWG Sports Information Director Mitch Gray suffered a stroke.

He was airlifted to Grady hospital in Atlanta where he has undergone surgery for a brain bleed. Mitch is still very serious after a stroke and massive intense brain bleed and will remain on a ventilator after his surgery.  With COVID-19 restrictions in place his family is unable to see him in person or be in the actual hospital for the foreseeable future which is a huge disappointment for his wife and family. As many of you are aware this wonderful family has a child Alex who requires around the clock assistance. So, let’s all rally behind them during this unbelievable setback in their life. Please continue to lift this incredible family in your prayers... He is such an awesome supporter of West Georgia! Let’s all show them some love.
