Hi, my name is Roy Horton, as I cleaned my father's office after his passing, I found a memorial to Mitchell. I would love to get this to his family. Any information that anyone can give me on how I can do this would be a help.

As a fellow Veteran, I appreciate Officer Mitchell Winters service to our country, and as a long time resident of Mesa, Arizona, I also appreciate his service as a police officer to our community. I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Officer Winters's family, friends, and to his fellow officers with the Mesa Police Department. We lost a good one!

My first time visiting this website and I’m brought to tears, just reflecting on how wonderful Mitch was . He was truly the best man any woman could ask for. I knew he was raised by a very loving family , his showed me this by the way he treated me. We were both so loving and sensitive to eachother . Thank you for letting me share ♥️

I hope Mitchell knew how much I loved him. I always felt a special connection with him. I enjoyed every moment I spent with him talking about joining the Marines or whatever Whenever I was with him, he left me feeling happy just to know him, that he is/ in the world he gave me hope. A pure spirit. He only wanted to be the best, to do the best for himself and those around him, for everyone. He was as good a man as I have ever known. You have left a void, Mitch but a part of you will be with me, and with all of us always.

Thanks, Anita for posting the wonderful photo. I have so many happy memories of the early years when Mitch and my son Andrew were growing up together in San Francisco. Mitch grew up to become a strong and wonderful man, but I will always remember him as he is portrayed in the photo above, finding joy in a simple childhood moment. Sending love and prayers to Kathleen, Vern and Elizabeth.
