I've always considered myself blessed to have met and spoken with you during SirensCon 2019. Your emotional awareness is something I admire and I continue to find you a role model for your insight and resilience in the face of health challenges both mental and physical. I'm praying for you and your family to have as much joy as possible over the coming year.

Somehow missed this update. Sitting here waiting for the eclipse, feeling eclipsed. Hugs, Be Fri. You are always in my heart.

My daughter asked me yesterday who the smartest person I’ve ever known is - and there was your name on the tip of my tongue. Then I heard this news today. I am sending you so much love and care from afar and cherishing every memory. ❤️

You probably don’t even remember me anymore (Mojave from the old Project Greenlight days), but I still remember my Siren and how full of life you always were. Our relationship literally changed my life for the better and I was glad to read over the years how you formed a family and got your work published and helped so many others on their professional and creative journeys. I wish you happiness and peace in your remaining time and I echo the many here and elsewhere who are better for you being part of their lives.

Dear Mishell,

Thank you for writing and sharing this deep and beautiful thing, from in the midst of it as you are. As another person here said, there are many of us who will print your words out and carry them with us. You've done a lot of things, and encouraging others is on that list many times over. I've pointed to you and your work when people I knew were dealing with new diagnoses of various things, and your very existence and your work brought them encouragement and comfort. You never met them, but you helped them.

You've brought that to me, too, and I thank you so much. There's a note posted where I see it when I wake up every day that says "Do what you are here to do." I hear those words singing harmony with what you wrote here and elsewhere.

If we were in the same room now, I would hand you something shiny and hope it made your eyes light up. They say the eyes are the windows of the soul. Yours have always been luminous every time I've seen them. It was obvious from the first time we met in the halls of word-art that you are magic. All good wishes to you, and love ongoing.

Hi Mishell, we used to talk on Twitter and later met up in New York along with Anatoly Belilovsky. I lost track of you afterwards, but I was randomly wondering how you were doing lately and came across this sad news via your website. I hope you know that even the briefer connections you have made had a big impact on others and I'm glad to have had the chance to reconnect with you in your lifetime <3. Best wishes and peace to you.

Sending love and hugs. I wish I could be as graceful and dignified as you, but I hate this.

The spiritual optimism with which you've done your best to approach all of this has been amazing to witness. Looking forward to however much of the next year you spend with us.
