A brief story of Mike's hole in one - On Monday, October 25, 2021, Mike was checked in to the ER. After a different kind of morning at home, his wife Karen insisted he be checked out for some mild balance issues and confusion. He was given an MRI and it was recommended he be admitted immediately to the hospital. Upon further discovery, and a couple days later a biopsy, pathology reports, and continued confusion and loss of function, Mike was diagnosed with a High Grade Glioma Glioblastoma, of grade 4. We were all stunned and confused to say the least. How could this all be happening so fast? 


After 6 days in the hospital, and not even being able to visit Mike due to pandemic restrictions, Karen and his daughter Heather, were informed that there was no treatment being recommended, as it would be much to hard on Mike's body. They were asked if they would like to return him home on comfort care with hospice. He was on very little medication, only to reduce swelling and prevent further symptoms. He had no pain, yet
