Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

As many of you know,  Mike was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and started chemo Dec. 14th 2021. Mike received a bone marrow transplant on March 28th but unfortunately, Mike experienced an early relapse around day 90. Mike’s gone through more chemotherapy and has experienced many ups and downs and has spent the majority of August in the hospital. We’re hoping to improve his health so he qualifies for a clinical trial. For more information, and to learn how to support Mike, please read his journal which we will keep updated with any changes and his progress.

Mikey,

We can’t believe this is your second birthday up there watching over us. Your death has changed us profoundly and while we still miss you more than anything we’re thankful you are happy and the pain is gone. 

Tonight, in your memory, we’re raising a root beer float to you and digging out a Thor movie. I hope you’re planning to hang out with us!
