Others can comment on Mike’s accomplishments and contributions, which were many. I just want to comment on one aspect of knowing Mike that was very special to Janice and me. That was his incredible warmth and radiating energy. We always looked for Mike every time we were at a meeting or function where we thought he might also be. Just to get that mega watt smile from across a room always lifted our spirits immeasurably. There won’t be any substitute for that. Mike Thompson was one of the sweetest, warmest, most decent people who ever walked the earth. We will always remember him. We miss him a lot.
