So happy Mike’s scans are continuing to show positive results and improvement, and I applaud your new philosophy of allowing Mike’s cancer to be only a part of your lives, not who and all that you are. I know that won’t be easy, but the more you can learn to live with cancer as a chronic condition as I’m learning to do, the more meaningful your life becomes. I’m in NO way comparing my situation to the severity of Mike’s because it is so very, very different, but I do understand in a similar way your desire to focus on your family and not let the specter of cancer define your every waking moment. You and Mike are fighting tooth and nail on your journey for healing in both mind and spirit, and I can’t imagine anyone doing it better! So proud of you, dear Kristin, and your courageous warrior, Mike. My thoughts, prayers and virtual hugs continue daily for your beautiful family! 🩵🙏🩵
We are incredibly grateful for all the positive steps that have be made, both in terms of treatment, but perhaps just as importantly, in pivoting your outlook. We know it is so easy to slide when there is a curve. You’ve proven time and again that your trust and faith are in the Great Healer, and He is working endlessly for you. Praying 🙏🏼 for Mike’s complete healing. Praying for everyone’s morale. I have been reading the book of Job lately and it has been encouraging to me. Thought I would share that here. Going through a season myself of long frustrating battles that done seem to have an end to them it helped to encourage me. I’m still reading it. Thanks for sharing these updates. I hope and pray that one day Mike’s story of healing and going through all of this will encourage someone else facing the same thing.
Glad you are seeing improvements wtih each round but I know the regression with pain and walking have to take a mental toll on Mike and you all. I hope this next round brings more good days and you can look forward to some fun over the summer xxx
