Jeri Lou's dignity and graciousness reflected those qualities in Mike I knew for 40 years. An honest, gentle, strong man, Mike affirmed all the people in his life. I asked him at one point, "What happens if I fail?" He smiled, reached out and took my hand. "We pull you up, dust you off and send you back to be loving." His comment about faith which has stuck with me. "Living faith is filled with little deeds that slowly add up to what is important." Mike's life "added up" to a sum greater than the parts. That's an equation worth aspiring to. If "grief is the price of loving," whatever is ahead is worth it.

So many memories of years shared at West Side Presbyterian Church with Mike, with all of you, are racing through my mind. I send my love to you as you continue along this difficult journey of great loss! Joanne
