Mikella’s Story

Site created on April 26, 2018

So in April I went to see my Doctor,  I was have bleeding that just would not let up, even in between periods.   The did a scan and saw a rather large mass.   They send me on to a specialist where they did a biopsy.   They diagnosed me with Endemetrial Cancer.   I was shocked.   I had to have a complete hysterectomy.  That was done May 3rd.   My Husband and my best friend was there for me.   I was in the hospital for about 3 days and was sent home.   I did everything the doctor told me and was able to go back to work in about 3 weeks.   When we did my follow up, they suggested radiation treatment.   So as of today, 07/12/18, I had my 3rd round.   I have 2 more to go.   I pray that this will take care of this because I feel I still have a long life to live.

Do I am happy to say out of all of this, my out of pocket is about $4000.  Now just trying to figure out how to pay it.  I pray for the means to get it taken care of.   I started a GoFundMe that I hope will help.
