MIKE’s Story

Site created on September 10, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  Thank you for visiting.  As most of you know, Mike had a massive heart attack in his home August 30th around 7:30 a.m.  With the help of numerous New Paris emergency service crew, they were able to get him to Goshen Hospital and eventually stable enough to be air lifted to St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis where he could be treated most effectively.   With tremendous gratitude for the New Paris crew, he is recovering.  We will keep you all informed as his recovery progresses.  Prayers are requested.

Journal entry by Kelly Woolsey

I wish I could report better news but Mike seems to be declining a bit.  Instead of getting stronger he seems to be getting more weak and has increased chest pain, memory issues, leg pain and trouble with his feet to walk.  He's going in for tests to determine if he is a candidate for a pace maker and defibrillator tomorrow.  He's getting very discouraged and depressed and needs prayers and texts of hope, love and encouragement.  Please remember him in your prayers and pray for God's mercy and healing upon Mike once again.
