Hi Everyone,

A very good chance this is our final CB post!

Great news - Mike & Jill will LEAVE the hospital Thursday after therapy.  They will drive to Vegas and FLY home Friday!!!!  (home to IA until Mike's 100% better and ready for good ole MN) :)

AWESOME NEWS TO SHARE.

And what a journey.

Sunday, Jill took Mike off site for a day in the sun, at the beach, lunch, haircut, laundry, smoothie.  All the fun stuff.  All of this has been so great for him!

And today - he walked "almost totally normal" he stated - upright, with confidence, balance and conviction.  He was walking around asking the nurses and patients "do you want to see me walk!?!?"  :)

Then he states to me - "little things are big things for the soul".  No truer words were ever spoken.

Thank you all for being there for Mike.  Soon he'll be home.  I'll leave it up to Jill and the family on visitors, etc.  He's certainly not 100% where he needs to be but he's getting there.  

We are so grateful to the staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.  They are angels.  I know Mike & his family have been overflowing with appreciation daily if not hourly.  

Have a great night, friends!  I'm so happy to share of his homecoming.  At last.
