I don’t know you Kandy but Mikes picture appeared magically on my Caringbridge site for my niece who is also being treated for cancer.
I was Mikes classmate at Annapolis High long ago and only recently reconnected with him on FB. He was such a great guy at that age- always joking and fun to be around. I was surprised to learn he had cancer- never mentioned it on FB.
I just want to congratulate you on your narration of his journey to heaven, Being an ER nurse I have watched many deaths but have never seen the detail, love, and sensitivity you expressed in this narration .Thank you.
May you grieve peacefully and adjust to your new situation with ease, knowing your love for Mike shined in every message. Well done!♥️
Stuart and I just read your post. We are so sorry for your loss. We are currently in Montana and will remember Mike and his love for cowboy country as we wish upon a star in the western sky that peace will come to you and your family. Sending hugs...
Even though I never met Mike, I feel that I know a fraction of the great man he was just through your journal entries. Wish I had met him. My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry for your loss. Praying that the Lord wrap His loving arms around you and hold you and your family tight. I pray for His Perfect Peace to carry you through the difficult times ahead. With love, sue
Kandy,
Mike and I met years ago at a Wyoming Ranch, since then we have bantered, laughed, and possibly a few drinks for many years. Our last ride together was in 2017.. we knick named our little group the magnificent 8... he will always be with us.
Kandy, even though I only spent one week with Mike at Kara Creek it was a week that I enjoyed more because of getting to know him. I have made 15 trips to ranches and it still amazes how much guests bond in a week of playing cowboy. I sat at one end of the table and he sat to my right so we were engaged in conversation with jokes and tales. I read your post with lots of tears. RIP Mike
I have three sayings: 1 - As long as there is life, there is hope. 2. You can't change the past, only the future. 3. Life goes on for the living.
No doubt in mind that Mike would want for you in time to be happy again and enjoy the years that you have left until you join him in the next life. BIG HUGS
Very sad right now. But feel so blessed to have re-connected with Mike after 50 years. Finding out how wonderful his life had been and what a wonderful family he had. Thanks Kandy for the updates.
Our hearts reach out to all of the Chases. We are blessed to have gotten to know "Spike", whose love for the West encouraged us to move to Montana. Fun memories of his sheep wagon arriving at our door and his cowboy stories. Please know the welcome mat is always out for you guys.
Kandy this is simply beautiful!
My dear sweet friend, our hearts are breaking for you, Chris and Mac and the rest of your wonderful family. Sending you all much love and hugs and wishing that you all experience the Grace of God and feel a peace that passes all understanding in this very, very difficult time!
Love to you all!
