Journal entry by Amber Knott

Dear Friends,  Thank you for continuing to pray for our family through all our recent trials, especially since Mike’s stroke on December 4th.!  I realized today that we have not posted since the end of January.  My how time flies when living the life of stroke recovery...physical therapy, aphasia and cognition therapy, home health nurse visits, and all kinds of doctors. Some of those have been televisits and others are in person.  Just keeping his pillbox current keeps me hopping,  God is leading Mike’s recovery and we are seeing improvement daily...some small and others more evident. He continues to be able to walk and keeps good balance.  He gave me a scare or two when he took out the back door on his own when it was icy!  He remained safe and came in with a big smile!  Dale and Amber were amazing hosts for us during the ice storm. We stayed there 5 days and they treated us royally,  Then today we enjoyed a fun visit with Michael and Amandal. We are so blessed with God-loving family.  Our church family continues to look out for us in countless ways. They are still delivering meals twice a week and that has helped tremendously!  Prayers, calls, texts, cards, emails, food, daily devotionals, and live streaming of the services keep us close in spirit with our church family.  Most of you know our sweet Betty was hospitalized on January 18th with Covid and passed from this life to join Jesus on February 2, 2021.  She was 91 years old and loved to serve us daily while she lived with us.  We miss her sweet spirit and conversations about God’s word, her family, and friends made along the way.  Whenever we say her name, smiles pop up on our faces.    Life goes on and Mike and I continue to look for God’s blessings daily.  One of my greatest joys is to hear him read aloud from the Bible!  Yes, I have rambled but Mike and I  are doing well and love each of you as you have stayed with us in this journey.  Amber often posts on Facebook about our adventures and seems to reach more people that way. Thank you for showing you care by continuing to pray for Mike’s continued recovery.  💗💗
