Journal entry by Sandie Reeves —
- Mickey is home, driving some, but needs constant reassuring. Still receiving home care and all his pressure areas from those first four days have taken months to heal due to his diabetes.
Mickey has a great part time sitter who helps with care, shopping, laundry and a little housekeeping. Thank God for Mary.
There has been much progress made but I’m not sure he will ever want to live alone again. He has gone from being a recluse and very private to wanting others around. Time will tell but thank you all for the prayers and thank God for his healing. He has encountered wonderful people in the health care field from Physical therapists, nurses, doctors. They have all been amazing.
Don’t give up on the medical field because there are amazing people out there. There was a setback with a melanoma on his back when he was being checked for a rash. It has been removed and stitches come out this Thursday. Our Aunt Jo and Uncle Jr. have been his sounding board and there has been much”porch counseling” from Aunt Jo. Thanking God for them also and Rodney his neighbor.
Keep him in your prayers please.❤️
