Michelle’s Story

Site created on November 21, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Michelle began experiencing severe abdominal pain during the end of May 2018.  She was initially diagnosed with acute pancreatitis at Skagit Valley Hospital, and has spent over 3 of the past 7 months in hospitals.  After numerous tests and failed treatments, the doctors at UW Med diagnosed her with  adenocarcinoma pancreatic cancer after an endoscopic procedure.  In it's current state the tumor is inoperable, so she has begun aggressive chemotherapy (started on Halloween 2018).  Michelle will likely continue chemo until at least March/April of 2019, at which point they will determine whether or not they can remove the tumor from her pancreas.  She and her whole family are so thankful for all  the  prayers, well-wishes and continued support as we keep up the fighting spirit!

Service for Michelle Anderson  We will bear witness to the resurrection and celebrate the life of Michelle Anderson on Saturday, July 20th at 10:00 am at Bethany Covenant Church 1318 N.18th St. Mount Vernon, Wa. A meal (brunch) will follow. Michelle requested that all who attend wear bright colors. She also wanted the kids she loved so much to attend, as their parents discern.
