Michelle’s Story

Site created on February 6, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

I can’t believe I’m writing this but we need all the love and the prayers in the world❤️🙏
Michelle Mead-salley has pancreatic cancer .

We need prayers for God’s strength and peace in our hearts.  Especially Michelle and the boys . Anyone can text me I’m open I’m raw.  If I don’t answer that’s ok I like reading well wishes and sharing with the boys so they know how loved their mom is and that they are equally loved.
Let them know we have a mantra that we say out loud to each other

One step, one punch , one round one fight one day.

Do whatever you feel is right with no regrets .

Say what you need to say!

We all love you and need you ,we are still standing because of your love and God’s love.

We are not angry.
Well if you know me .. let’s be honest
I have my moments

We are saying why not us?
With this love and support that we have why not us?

The pain is unreal.

Pray like mother fkers!!
Several times a day .
Pray if it aligns with God’s will that this CA be destroyed and that our team including all of you can show what love and God Grace can do in the face  of adversity !
In this world of shit known as Cancer
Michelle Is amazing in every way,
Gift from God ❤️!

Journal entry by Heather Lowry

Today Michelle begins chemo therapy. She will be pretreated with medications to help boost her immune system and make her feel better during chemotherapy treatment. Her chemotherapy regimen includes irinotcan, oxaliplatin, flurouracil and leucovorin. These medications are infused through a Mediport to prevent damage and irritation to her peripheral veins. She will head back home later this afternoon while her chemotherapy will continue to infuse over the next two days. Michelle is in good spirits and is grateful and very touched by all of the love, prayers and support everyone near and far are sending!
