Dear friends & family,  

As you all know, my mom is undergoing major heart surgery tomorrow and I want to make sure I'm able to get updates to everyone and keep you all posted on her progress. I figured this would be an easy way to do keep everyone in the loop! I encourage you to visit the site often for updates on her progress and to write notes of your own. Thank you all so very much for your support and prayers. She's the strongest woman I know and if anyone can get through this it's this lady!!

IN SURGERY ...

Mom went into surgery at 10:00AM and they are expecting it to be a 5 hour surgery. Once she's out they have her in ICU on a breathing tube for about 6 hours to make sure the valve is adapting okay to her body. She will spend the night in ICU and hopefully be moved to a regular room tomorrow. Doc said she probably won't even remember our visit with her in ICU once she's in recovery because they'll have her very doped up. Will update this once she's out of surgery and we've spoke to the doctor. Thank you for your prayers!
