Journal entry by Michelle Dooley

As I just posted on Facebook, I just had my six month check up and everything looks good. When I was there I asked them about The full body scan I had a year ago. In that scan they had seen the cancer in the breast, a cyst on the ovary, and a node in one of my lungs. We had addressed the cancer and the cyst on the ovaries but not the note in the lung.  They decided to send me in for a CAT scan. They wanted to compare the size from a year ago to now. I’m not going to lie, I was extremely nervous and scared for the results. Fortunately, it’s all good! They said the node was just calcium, and nothing to be concerned with at all!

My hair is growing back though not as fast as I would like! I have taken to wearing scarves now as the wigs gets so hot, and with my hair back the wig slide. My hair has come back in very dark (with some gray 🙄). I absolutely do not like the way I look with dark hair.   I got it colored today to a brown color, and then in four weeks I will go back and try to get it back to my blonde color. Right now it is coming in very thick which I am extremely happy about! Now if I could only get my length  back! Right now I have a pixie cut look, and I wish I could be one of those who could pull that look off. I just don’t like shorthair on myself. Some of my friends can really rock that look but I’m not one of them!

Don and I spent last weekend down in Kansas City. It was our first trip since completing Chemo and all of my surgeries it was a nice getaway!

here is a picture of my birthday present from Don.  I absolutely love it and I plan to add a little pink heart every year. My goal is when I am 95 years old I’m still walking into a tattoo parlor  asking for a little heart💗

thank you everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers! I am so blessed to meet people care about me!
