Precious family and friends,
So we have survived over ten weeks of the unthinkable. How are you all doing?
Are you waking up each day only to be smacked again by the terrible reality that our precious Michelle is no longer here with us? As you determine to make sense of that, are you trying to find solace in the thought of her in a better place, no longer suffering? Are you remembering wonderful times with her and wanting to be among people who treasure her? We struggle with you as we continue to look to God for peace and his presence in this pain.
On Saturday, August 31, we will be gathering together for a time of comfort, grace and sharing. We've found it difficult to put a name on this gathering--memorial service?/tribute?/life celebration?--nothing seems to sound right--so this is what it is---Our family is setting a time to be together and to remember our precious girl. We have some things we'd like to share and we would like to invite those who also loved her to be a part of it.
It will be an informal and hopefully comfort-able time to share together in remembering the wonderfulness of our Shoob and we are pleased that Dad, Mom, all of us siblings, and many of her nieces and nephews will be able to be there.
We will meet at 6:30 at Grace Family Church in Canfield (same as calling hours) and will have light refreshments. We may have a time for open sharing so please consider if you would like to take a minute or two to share a thought or memory.
And thank you all again for the love and support that has been so generously and thoughtfully shared.
And thank you for the way that you carried Michelle in your hearts and for continuing to carry us there, too. How blessed we are to have such loving care and support surrounding us.
