MICHAEL’s Story

As you all probably know, my son MICHAEL MARTELL has been diagnosed as having the COVID-19 virus.  He began showing symptoms on Friday, March 13, 2020 and was ultimately taken to Beaumont Hospital on March 25, 2020.  He is in the 4th Floor east ICU and has been struggling for days to overcome the virus. We are anxious but upbeat that he will come out of this with very little side effects. 

All of his family and friends have been very supportive.  We have even set up a GoFundMe account (through this web site) for everyone to contribute whatever they can afford towards paying for his medical bills.

MIKE was very involved in the Eagles Club in Royal Oak, and was a quite accomplished pool player.  He lives with SHARON in Madison Heights and has a beautiful daughter, EMILY.


We have set up this web site to post daily updates on MIKE's condition.  The updates come from the doctors and nurses who are contributing heroic efforts to help get Mike healthy again.

We are also asking everyone to pray for MIKE's recovery.  CINDY and I are praying every day that he comes out of this as quickly as possible.  We know that MIKE appreciates all of your prayers and healing thoughts. Thank you for visiting.

MIKE  Update Friday 4-17-2020

It has been one week now (5 days) since MIKE beat the terrible disease and was released from BEAUMONT.  He is at home now with SHARON and seems to be doing fine.  You may text MIKE on his cell phone 248-228-0209 - please don't call as he (and SHARON) are busy in his recovery.

This will be my last update on this site.  THANKS again to all for being very supportive during this difficult time.
