Journal entry by Cheri Campbell-Magnus

It has been one month since Michael died.  Cheri continues to work on the Screeplays that she and Michael wrote to keep his memory alive.  She is waiting for the urn for his ashes to be completed.  The owner of the hotel has planted the daisies Cheri was given in a bed at the hotel where Cheri can see them from her window.  It seems that everyone in Inglewood has heard about Michael's passing and stopped to express their condolences to Cheri.  A street memorial was created by some of their friends.  He was very well known for his kindness to everyone he met.  I have never met any couple who were as close as Michael and Cheri.  She still feels his presence.
Cheri has asked me to post this poem a friend of hers and Michael wrote since it has been one month since his passing. Susan says she did not insert the smiley faces, that it must have been Michael's doing.

Michael:

It's been one month since you've been gone
And yet you'll 😊never leave
-alive and well in our hearts and minds,
even as we grieve
Cheri:
Michael's your guardian angel now
caring for you from the other side
Holding you close and keeping you safe
with his great love for you that will always abide
Michael's your guardian angel now
no longer here, but cheering you on,
helping you overcome life's challanges
spurring the outcome of your shared vision😊
Michael is now your #1 angel
Your role is to live for both of you now
Straighten your spine and strengthen your heart
Share with the world his wonderful art
It's ok to feel lost & alone & afraid
without him(but still, you're most certainly loved)
Grieving alone or with caring friends
-just remember your connection to all That above
Michael is now our #1 angel
His special green eyes will forever be seen
Along with a warrior's heart that was tender
He was a straight shooter that couldn't be mean
Michael is gone and yet so alive
in the hearts and minds of many a one
who had the good fortune to know him this time
People he may have met only just once!
Michael is now our #1 angel
Let us try to be happy and trust
That for whatever the reason he was taken from us
God knows more than us: we need time to adjust
Michael you're our truly #1 angel
Your legacy is still being unfurled
Like a flag on the wind that is blowing so freely
You have left your good mark here this time in our world
There's so much to say, so much in our hearts
So hard to express and convey
What a wonderful person you are to have known
You'll be with us every day
God bless you Michael and Cheri
