Journal entry by Gin Wiegand —
The entire family is just heartbroken to imagine a world without Mike.
Who will be the link that kept us all connected to family? Who will be the memory keeper of our childhoods... sometimes rusty but always entertaining memories of our grandparents, parents, cousins, and our lives spent in New Jersey?
Who will entertain and charm us with his epic stories, his exaggerations, corny jokes and big laugh?
Mike was a wonderful brother to me and uncle to my children. Always generous and interested in keeping up with everyone’s life. He was famous for his phone calls, always calling his sibs and often reaching out to cousins and long lost relatives who delighted in hearing his voice. His passing has left a huge void in our lives. I love you, Mike. I hate that you had to suffer the worse aspects of covid and I’m going to miss you terribly!
