We are so blessed to know you Michael, and so thankful for your resilience and trust in God's plan. I am in total agreement with you regarding knowing the reason why we are here and what we are needed to do. Often times, it is not clear until we have gone through something tragic, for us to realize it. We are so proud of you and always know how much we love and unceasingly pray for you!! My daughter was one of your nurses in the ER. I got a text that said “I had a burn patient today. My age. Pray for him” HIPAA wouldn’t let her give me more than that but it wasn’t hard to figure out who you are.
So I did pray. Every day.
So happy to read your story and to know you are recovering well. I made sure to share it with her too. Very rarely do they learn how their patients fare in the long run. Most people understandably want to put the experience behind them but you touched her heart.
BTW I’m a Cobber too! We look out for each other😉
GOD BLESS YOU!

“ With God all things are possible!”🙏

It seems we all have to carry crosses (whether they be big or small) in our life journey at one time or another.
Michael your CROSS was /is BIG and EXCRUCIATING😔!!!
The Gundy’s are proud of the way you have partnered with God ~ picked up your cross and continued to move forward with strength and determination. Our prayer 🙏 is you continue to heal mentally and emotionally! I also thank God for your Guardian Angel 😇 in Heaven and the Angel that has been here by your side on earth 😇. Wow, Michael. You truly are amazing. Not everyone is capable of taking a tragic event and make it an opportunity to praise others. You have survived and are a strong enough young man to recognize and praise others as you know without them your chances would have been poor. “We are all more resilient than we know and can fight battles larger than we could ever imagine” with the love and support of family. Bless your sweet soul. Thank you for sharing. Your story and family are inspiring.

Michael, we are so grateful for the outcome of this terrible tragedy. I cannot begin to imagine what you and your family have been through, and I am sorry for what you all have had to endure. Know that you have shown the world the importance of the prayer, love and family. In our society, the importance of the family unit has been crumbling, and your story spotlights the value and necessity keeping those we love close. God bless you all and thank you! The Mickelson family will continue to include you in our prayers.
