Journal entry by Mandy Farmer

"Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything." James 1:2-4

We shared last week that Michael had a rough week with low-grade fevers for most of the two weeks. He mentioned this to the oncologist and he prescribed an antibiotic for a sinus infection.
On Thursday, when the chemo pump was removed, he stayed for extra fluids.

He is feeling much better this week. Again we are so thankful for the caring staff at the cancer center and how God has provided a great team of doctors, nurses, and technicians. We are also grateful for the myriads of prayers rising up on our behalf.

There was one blood lab that was higher than the doctor wanted but they decided to repeat it at the next chemo treatment in two weeks. You can pray that this number will come back down.

On Friday, I finished my therapy and "graduated". Now I need to keep active so that my knee keeps moving. I have been trying to walk with Michael (much easier than it used to be. ) and climb the stairs outside our apartment. I am so thrilled with the mobility that I have. I have not been able to move like this in years.

This week will be quieter. I have an appointment in Brunswick (about an hour's drive) on Tuesday. Other than that, I am gearing up to launch my new picture book on May 7. It's called Soft Hugs for Mommy - A Family Deals with Fibromyalgia.  Go to my website www.mandyfarmer.com to stay up-to-date with that. The best way to help is to share any social announcements you see on my pages with your friends. Then purchase a book and leave a review. Thanks. Reviews help keep my books on the front page of a search when people are looking for certain books.

Thanks again for your interest and your prayers for our situation.
