I'm holding your soft belly and your tender wounds in prayer every day.

Love this... "creating a hospitable atmosphere for our despairs and discomforts is a contribution." I'm thinking about you in surgery right now and holding you, your doctors and the possibility of healing as the hospitable atmosphere where life and love can thrive.

Waking up as you enter surgery. I'm thinking about roller coasters. One part you yelling "Stop! This is the end of us! Danger!" and all the other part has to work with is "They have made this safe, and you will have an experience you wouldn't have otherwise.. Enjoy it when you can and how you can." Except we don't know how safe this surgery will be, just that it's the best guess of people we love of how to maybe gain you more time here with us. So that's what you have, this river of love and trust that everyone wants you as alive and as with us as you can be. And now it's 7:30 and the roller coaster is at the top of that first hill, the cranking sound and jerking lift has stopped. Breathing deep for you as the car goes over the lip. May all be as well as it can. Crossing all my fingers and toes, and letting out a worried yell to myself for you.

Dear Michael,
I would love to run into the woods with you to avoid the next phase of treatment. But we both have to surrender to entering the stream of the flow of life. I despair along with you. Whatever way the stream carries you, I pray you will be held by God's grace and angels to carry you ♥️

Holding you in beautiful soft light, Michael. You are clearly not alone as you embark on this next step.
I can't tell you what a gift it is to be taken along on this journey with you. Your wisdom and spontaneous poetic weavings are deeply moving. Blessings of comfort and love.

It took four adults to hold me down when I was about four and needed an antibiotic injection to start managing my sore throat. You were faster!

We can always alternate between running and surrendering and there is rarely a right time or a right choice, just what is. And letting the soft animal of your body love — and ask for — what it loves is just a downright good idea. 😊 May you have everything you need as you move into tomorrow’s surgery, may your loved ones and your care teams be with you in exactly the ways that feed and sustain you, and may your spirit and body both be receptive to the rest you need to be well on every level. Holding you in love and light, especially as you move into tomorrow’s unknown. 🙏🏻💕

I wish you the peace that passes understanding, down in your heart. I will hold you and your family in my heart.
